Matt Wickware has 30 years’ experience in construction and started his career building custom homes in Fairfield County, CT. Matt then took his high-end residential experience back to Manhattan, where he is originally from, and worked his way up from carpenter to junior superintendent, to full field superintendent, for a prestigious and successful high-end residential company, renovating apartments for wealthy and high-profile clients.

Following 911, Matt then made the move from high-end residential to commercial construction, where he worked as project manager/ senior project manager in the Manhattan construction market, for 20 years, completing corporate interiors projects, Public Works projects and infrastructure projects, interspersed with high-end residential.

 

Matt holds a BA from SUNY Purchase, an OSHA 30, an SST Training Supervisor 63 hrs. and licensure for Construction Superintendent with NYC Buildings.

Matt is well versed in means and methods and has a great deal of experience managing A/Es and engineering/ architectural consultants, such as FF&E; LV/ AV and tel/data consultants; access control and security consultants and vendors; Food Service design consultants and vendors; lighting designers; MEP consultants; Fire Alarm systems and fire protection designers & consultants.

Matt also has a great deal of experience managing all trades, such as carpentry, masonry, structural, millwork & finishes. Matt has a sharp eye for details and a firm understanding of the permitting and sign-off processes, and he is used to working closely with expeditors, to satisfy all Special Inspections requirements.

When not working, Matt enjoys spending time with his family in NYC and Litchfield County, CT. Matt is a multi-instrument musician, who plays piano, organ, synthesizer, guitar, drums, base, etc. – and Matt also loves DJing house music, techno, New Wave & Goth dance music, and he also performs multi-track, non-linear recording and producing, where he records and builds dance music tracks.
